The Incest Taboo and Relationship

No relationship issue can be regulated through prohibition, dictate and taboo. Any attempt to do so will merely lead to an end of relatedness within the relationship.
What is required – as with other questions related to the incest taboo – is a lively and truthful direct working through of the issue. Unless humanity faces up to this fact and finds a solution to the triangular relationship problem imbedded within, there will be no peace among mankind and in particular between men and women.

The Incest Taboo in Therapy

As direct follow-on within the therapeutic process, the task of therapy can only be successful when it succeeds in freeing the therapeutic relationship from its established pattern – from all patterns – and transforms it into a lively, unique, authentic, adult one to one relationship that is the concern of nobody apart from the two personally-responsible participants, and that no one should be able to impede, as long as it is really and truly resolving into love – the goal of any therapy.
